Language Learning Strategies from the Perspective of Learning Context

Learning context, as an important influence on language learning strategy (LLS), has received more attention in recent years. For the purpose of better choices different contexts and achievements, this study investigated LLS from perspective context. Participants were 44 doctoral students recruited ESL context (the US) EFL (China). Data gathered through a mixed-methods research design with use Language Strategy Use Inventory (LSUI). The results showed that participants both reported to similar LLSs terms listening, speaking, reading writing. However, some strategies used significantly often one than other (e.g., Imitate way native speakers talk was context; Switch back my own momentarily if I know person I’m talking can understand what is being said context). also diversity additional differently each findings revealed have choice. Furthermore, insights for future offered.
